Lac Blanc resort offers easy access in winter for outdoor activities. To facilitate your arrival, follow the directions based on your starting point.
From the Vosges department
If you are arriving from the Vosges department, head towards Anould and Plainfaing, then take the Col du Bonhomme. On the way down, by turning left, you will quickly reach the Lac Blanc 900 chairlift, where you’ll find access to the alpine ski slopes. By taking a right, towards Col du Calvaire, you’ll arrive at Lac Blanc 1200 (the road is intentionally not cleared of snow).
From Alsace
If you are coming from Alsace, take the Colmar exit, follow signs to Kaysersberg towards Le Bonhomme to access Lac Blanc 900, or head towards Orbey to reach Lac Blanc 1200.
At Lac Blanc 1200, you can enjoy:
- alpine ski slopes, including beginner slopes and ski and snowboard schools,
- the Nordic skiing area,
- snowshoeing trails,
- sledding slopes,
- rail sledding.
It is important to note that the Route des Crêtes is closed in winter. The road between Col du Calvaire and Col de la Schlucht is thus prohibited to traffic (D148 and D61). When it snows, this road becomes a skiing route used by cross-country skiers, but it is also a pathway for pedestrians and snowshoers. Plan your journey accordingly and check the weather conditions before setting off.

Loi Montagne: mandatory equipment
From November 1st to March 31st, the Loi Montagne requires all vehicles operating in mountainous areas, including the Vosges, to be equipped with winter tires or to have snow chains or socks in their trunk. These requirements are essential to ensure your safety on the roads and to avoid any fines in the event of a check.
Carpooling
Consider carpooling for a more eco-friendly access.
Additionally, a carpooling area has been established on the RD415, near the roundabout in Fréland (in front of the football field). This allows anyone wishing to do so to park their vehicle and continue their journey via carpooling.
To propose or find a carpool, check out the dedicated websites:
Taxis
Taxi services are also available to take you directly to the Lac Blanc resort. This can be a convenient option for those who prefer not to drive or need transportation from nearby towns or cities.
