June

The beginning of summer is marked by the Col Attitude event at Lac Blanc.
The concept? Come and climb the Col du Calvaire from Orbey by bike or mountain bike, with or without electric assistance, all without cars. The road is reserved exclusively for cyclists for the morning. It’s a friendly moment that allows you to peacefully discover the stunning landscapes of our beautiful mountains at your own pace.

July

The Trail du Pays Welche in Orbey is a must-attend sporting event for nature lovers and challenge seekers. This varied course, held annually in early July, takes participants through forests, ridges, and valleys, offering breathtaking views.

Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced runner, this race combines performance with an immersive experience in the natural beauty of the Pays Welche.

Do you love local traditions?

Head to the Harvest Festival in Fréland, usually held on the last Sunday of July.

This event celebrates the traditions of the Pays Welche in a lively and friendly atmosphere. Don’t miss the folkloric parade, featuring traditional dances, costumes, and demonstrations of old-fashioned harvest skills such as woodworking and threshing with flails. It’s a must-attend event of the summer!

Let’s keep the mountain traditions alive! This time, we’re taking you to the village of Le Bonhomme for the event Oh les Welches!. Held in early August, this event offers an immersive experience into the old forest and farm trades. You can enjoy local craft demonstrations, activities for both young and old, and a chance to taste regional specialties. It’s a fun and festive day for all!

Calling all sports enthusiasts! The famous Crêtes Vosgiennes race usually takes place in mid-August.

It connects the Markstein to the Col du Calvaire, following the iconic trails of the GR5, covering 33 km through the stunning panoramas of the Vosges. This challenging race attracts runners seeking both adrenaline and a deep connection with nature. Two shorter courses are also available for participants.

October

October means Octobre Rose!

Several events are organized in mid-October as part of Octobre Rose, with all proceeds going to the breast cancer charity.

  • The Amazone Walk, starting from Orbey and Lapoutroie, is open to everyone, offering various route options.

  • The Trai’ELLE Race, exclusively for women, offers multiple courses starting from Kaysersberg.

Both events are great ways to support the cause and stay active!
