The Lac Blanc

Nestled in the heart of an enchanting landscape, Lac Blanc is located at an altitude of 1,055 meters.

It gets its name from the color of the crystalline sand that covers its bottom, giving it a unique hue.

Every viewpoint makes it exceptional, with variations in water color ranging from turquoise blue to marine blue, depending on the light and angles of observation.

The Lac Noir

Lac Noir is situated at an altitude of 955 meters and gets its name from the color of its peaty bottom, which gives it a dark hue accentuated by the dense spruce forests surrounding it.

From below, it is charming, but viewed from above at its source, which is at 1,279 meters, it is truly stunning.

The Lac des Truites

Located at an altitude of 1,061 meters, it is the highest lake in the Vosges Massif.

Originally, it was called Lac du Foehrlé, meaning “surrounded by small pines.” It later evolved to Forellen, meaning “trout” in German, and is now also known as Lac du Forlet or Lac des Truites.

The 3 Lakes Hike

Did you know that you can discover these three magnificent lakes on a single hike? Starting from Col du Calvaire (Lac Blanc Station 1200), this route is quite sporty and requires a good level of fitness:

  • 12.6 km
  • 4 hours of walking (excluding breaks)
  • 597 m elevation gain

It offers breathtaking landscapes in the heart of the Vosges Massif, allowing for a complete immersion in nature.
